Severe Storms

We are under a tornado watch today for the county we live in and lots of other counties as well. That probably means that tonight that annoying weather alert radio we have will go off all night long. I already heard it go off once today and it said Tornado watch. When it goes off I have to press a button and listen to the warning and see if it's close by. Russell don't seem to hear it at night so I have to get up and press the button. Last time we had severe winds I think it went off at least 5 times during the night. Needless to say I did not get much sleep. Luckily I don't have to work until 10:30 tomorrow.
Russell has been home since 11 am today. With this job he has.... sometimes he is not actually working and is just on call but he gets paid for it still. It's kinda nice that I've been off today and he's been home most of the day. But he could get called in at any time, even during the middle of the night.
We went around today and did a few errands. I was looking for some new shoes, preferably Reeboks and I told Russell to take me to this store called Goody's. That store is awesome! I got a $60 pair of Reeboks for $30. Also I got socks half price. I'll definitely be shopping at that store again.
Not much else is going on here. We are just sitting around relaxing, watching tv (Russell is napping on the sofa right now) and I've been working on my crochet blanket.
Y'all have a peaceful evening.

  1. I was wondering if you were being affected by all the bad weather. Those radios, while life saving, are rather annoying, aren't they? Ours is on my bedside table and when it goes off in the night, it scares the cr*p out of me! And then it is likely to say thunderstorm warning, like, what I am supposed to do with that? If I heard the radio, then I'm already inside, what else can I do?? Glad you all are okay!
