Busy, Busy

I've decided to paint this whole house. I hate the ugly paneling in some of the rooms and I'm painting everything. I painted one coat on most of the living room. I used a color called bungalow beige which is a Southwest looking color. I may do the kitchen green. Tomorrow I need to get Russell to pick up some more paint which the landlord is paying for. :) Russell thought it looked fine the way it was but after hearing about some of the places he's lived in, I can see why he'd think that. So anyhow the living room is looking a lot better now. I don't have very long work hours tomorrow so I'm planning on doing more painting as long as he gets the paint for me. It's taking awhile because I had to fill in tons of nail holes and a couple of larger holes as well.

I'm reading some really awesome books. They are a type of book that normally I wouldn't even read. They are- The Sign of Seven Trilogy by Nora Roberts. The three books are Blood Brothers, The Hollow and The Pagan Stone.

Here's a description in the front of the first book:
In the town of Hawkins Hollow it's called The Seven. Every seven years on the seventh day of the seventh month, strange things happen. It began when three young boys- Caleb, Fox and Gage- went on a camping trip to Pagan Stone.. And twenty one years later, it will end in a showdown between evil and the boys who have become men and the women who love them.....

Anyhow I'd say these books are a cross between mystery and horror. I love reading them! I just may have to read some of the other series that Nora Roberts has written.

I watched Fred Claus today and I really liked it. It's about Santa's brother in case you never heard of it. Great family movie and Vince Vaughn is in it. Really good.

Well that's it for now. Hope y'all have a wonderful week.

  3. You will be posting pictures of the before and after... right?? I just love those!

Sounds like you have a win-win situation with the landlord. You do the work, he buys the paint! Excellent!

House painting is always fun. And sometimes it's nice to put a fresh new color up.:)

  7. I love to help people paint their houses...wish I lived nearby and we could have a painting party...

So glad you are enjoying The Seven. It is one of the best she has come out with in my opinion. When you are done with that you need to check out her Circle Trilogy. Well, if you like Vampire stuff that is...it was a really good one about Vamps.
