Friday Night/Saturday

My workday dragged on and on and it felt like I worked about 20 hours instead of just 9 hours. It was super busy and usually when it is that busy the day seems to go quickly but not today. Before I left work I did a bit of shopping and then I came home and cooked. I don't know why I was in a cooking mood but I made some potato salad & pasta salad for this weekend and made Russell some banana pudding. I don't care for it but he really likes it. Then I made sorta-homemade pizza. I just used the roll out crust and while it tasted pretty good, the real homemade kind that I make in the Kitchen Aid mixer is a lot better. I've cooked in the crockpot twice in the past week and I don't want to do a post about it every time I cook cause that would be silly so I'll wait and do it all at once.

It continues to be extremely hot here. I think today hit 105 according to one of my customers today. Speaking of customers, every now and then I get one that needs to have their head examined. ;) Today I had a couple come in and I checked out all their stuff and then I came to the big case of beer. The man was trying to give me his ID so I asked who was paying for it and the woman said she was. So I told her I'd need her ID as well. The man said she's not 21 so I had to use his. What planet did they come from when they think I'm going to sell beer to someone underage? So she paid for her stuff and the man paid for the beer separately. Sometimes I get people who come in to buy cigarettes and it will be an adult with their young adult kid. The rule at Walmart is if they look under 40 (yes 40) they have to show an ID.A parent will come in and ask their kid what kind of cigarettes they want. Then I tell them that I need to see the kids ID as well. They ask why since they are buying them. I then have to tell them that they just asked them what kind of cigarettes whey wanted so it's obvious that they are for them. Some people just have no clue. Jeeze.

Russell went today to get the freezer from where he had it stored. Right now I only have the small one in the fridge which is totally full. Now I'll be able to start filling up this one. It only took him 3 months to get the freezer and bring it here. Maybe the pink toilet will only sit in the family room for 2 months. If he doesn't move it soon, maybe it will attatch itself to the floor and we can start using it. We need another bathroom. :)

Since nothing very interesting has happened that's it for now. It's hard to think of anything to write when all I do is work, work, work.

I hope y'all have a wonderful weekend and happy 4th of July.

  4. Wow... Some of the TV soaps move faster than that pink toilet.

Umm... "As The Toilet Sits", "One Place to Go"... I'm sure there is a title in there somewhere...

  6. Good luck getting the toilet moved. Hope it doesn't take as long as it took for you to get that freezer. ;)
