Wet and Soggy.

That's what it's like here. It seems like it's been raining for the past month and that's not stretching the truth too much. We had about 2 weeks of fall weather and then it seemed to get cold. I've had to put the heat on already otherwise it's under 60 degrees in the house. I was hoping for a longer period of time when I didn't have to run the AC or the heat. But that won't be happening this year.

I came home a couple of nights ago to a candle light dinner. Hmmmm.....just goes to show that Russell can be romantic when he wants to. He ordered me some more memory for my computer as an early birthday gift. One year he got me tires. Isn't that the most romantic thing you ever heard??? ;) Once that comes in the mail I'll be able to hook up my new printer/scanner/copier I bought awhile back. Then I still need to buy a new flat screen monitor. I've already looked at them and they are pretty cheap.

Did you know that there are only 72 days left until Christmas? Are you done with your Christmas shopping? Have you even started? Or are you one of those fanatics who have it all done by summer time? I could never be one of those people who prepare all year for a holiday that is over in one day and has lost it's meaning.

That Roku box that Russell bought to view the netflix movies turned out to be very worthwhile. We can watch as many Netflix movies as we want instantly (besides the ones that come in the mail). All we have to do is go on the Netflix site and pick the movies that look good and put them on a list and they show up instantly on the TV. Pretty awesome. I really like the spiritual stuff that they have on there. Besides movies there are TV shows (whole series) and documentaries . It is well worth the very low monthly price.

Well I better get off here and get something done around here. I slept till 11:00 am and I'm off today and tomorrow so it's going to be a great couple of days. :)
Peace to y'all.
Have a wonderful day.

One of the advantages of having a family in which most of the members don't communicate with me is that it's pretty easy to go Christmas shopping. I pretty much get something for Doug, his mom, and my mom. That's pretty much it.

Of course, Doug and I call it Yule shopping, hee hee.

We were lucky on Sunday since it was actually sunny instead of being a soggy mess. We visited the corn maze in near Shrewsbury (PA) and had a really nice time. But it sure has rained a lot this autumn so far. Ick.

  3. I am not one to start going "crazy" over Christmas until Thanksgiving is over. One at a time please. :)

Its cold, wet, and raining here today. I want to get out to take foliage pictures but will need to wait until the sunshines again.

  5. How romantic of Russell! :)

Hey--when you're poor enough and don't have small kids in the immediate family, you don't have to worry about the financial side of Christmas. I just send handmade cards. Card materials and stamps have been about it for me for years now. So--I just get to appreciate the holiday spirit in all its peace and joy--and never have to deal with the crowds. :):)

I've been thinking about one of those Roku boxes from Netflix. Hummm...might have to look into that further. :) I hope you had a good time on your days off. I am catching up and late on comments.

  6. I've started my Christmas shopping, but just barely. And the only reason I start my shopping early is because I have so many people to buy for, so I could never do it all in one trip. And as from mid to late November it's extremely difficult for me to go and do any shopping due to the number of people I need to try and avoid giving sore ankles to. ;)
