The Ageless Soul

The soul does not age. It is eternal, timeless and immortal. It has no beginning and has no end. It is connected with the Source from where it came just as everything is. Our soul is who we are and who we always have been. I think our purpose in this life is to remember who we are. Simple as that. Why then do we make it so complicated?

I hear people talk about how they don't like getting older. They have aches and pains. They may be a little slower. They may have gained weight. But inside......they feel no different. That is because they are not. I love this one quote by Wayne Dyer. He says....We are not human beings having a spiritual experience, we are spiritual beings having a human experience. For me, that says it all. WE ARE NOT OUR BODIES. Just imagine what this World would be like if we loved people for who they truly were and not who they were on the surface? What if we instead connected on a soul level? Think about it.

At some point (if we are lucky) we are all going to be old and grey and we will look in the mirror and we will not even recognize ourselves. We will be confused because our mind feels not a day older than we did at age twenty. But we will have gained something so much better. WISDOM. Hopefully on this journey called life, we have become the person who we were always meant to be. So next time you look in the mirror and you see a new wrinkle or a few new grey hairs......really look at your self. Look at the amazing, beautiful person that you see and realize you are a part of something so much bigger than you could ever begin to realize. Don't pay attention to the little flaws that are so miniscule in the whole scheme of things. Every soul is beautiful. And that means YOU.

  1. Thank you for your beautiful post. It is so true that we are souls living in a physical body. Life is not about acquiring material stuff, but being the best that you can be and gaining wisdom and passing it on.

  2. Totally agree! I figure it was hard work getting to where I am today so every wrinkle or sag--well, it's part of the travels and like a reward for making it this far. ;)

Have a great day, Barb!! :):)
