Across the Rio Grande

In all the years I lived in NM before we never walked across the Rio Grande River. So today after we went to the park me and the girls went to the river. We parked and walked down to the river and walked across a long bridge. Mercedes slept the whole time.
We had to walk under this bridge to get to the river

  3. Being able to walk the Rio Grande seems to be a reflection of the life you've been living. As you might know, Rio Grande means big or large river. And certainly life can seem like a large river: we have to remind ourselves that sometimes we must let go and ride the current. I'm glad to see you were able to spend quality time with those girls. They deserve to have someone who knows and validates their importance, their specialness. By doing so, you mirror your own sacredness and importance.

  5. Raven, that's a good way to look at life. Life does seem like that river, a river in which I'm stuck in the middle with no way to get to either side. Walking across was freeing and maybe has more meaning than we know. It's about time that you visit my blog and leave a comment. And I love your new blog by the way.
