Job Hunting and More

I'd rather do anything than job hunting. I'd rather clean one of those nasty jiffy johns in 110 degree heat. Ok....so not really. I really do dislike looking for jobs though. All the driving around, phone calls and filling out applications is a pain in the butt. I did some this morning and one of them was at a temp to hire agency. I guess you start as a temp then eventually get hired if you know what you're doing. The woman there put me down to do some sort of small part assembly...I think she said hemetic switches and I have no idea what that is. Whatever it is... the hours are good....7 am to 3:30 pm. Perfect hours for me. If only I knew what she was talking about. ;) I'm going back out to drop off another application I filled out and pick up one from a restaurant I noticed was hiring. I've also applied at some stores. I applied at one of the smaller grocery stores that's only about 5 minutes from here and I think I'd like working there. They are going to be hiring cashiers in the next week or so and I hope they call me. It seems like it would be a pretty good place to work.

Aside from job hunting I've been doing a lot of cleaning! This place needed it, believe me. I even had Russell down on his hands and knees scrubbing the bottom front of the kitchen cabinets. Ok so I didn't ask him to do it...he did it on his own. His son was scrubbing the oven and still needs to do the oven racks. The kitchen just needs some paint and it will be done. I started painting it antique white but Mr. Picky did not like the color. Well I told him if he wants it another color to buy the paint and I'll paint it. So I'll see what happens with that. When we first moved here, we had to buy new stuff. I bought a fridge (Russell's stayed with the house) and a washer and dryer. This is used stuff but works great. He bought new mattresses and box springs for us and his son. We still don't have any living room furniture. My stuff is still in NM. Even when we do get my stuff most of it is going to have to go into storage until we buy a house. This place is too small for it and we are just going to have the basics in here.

Well that's about it for now. Back to job hunting. Uggghhhhhh....
