Work, Classes, Cooking and More

Today I worked from 7 am till 4 pm. I am definitely not a morning person and I have so much trouble getting up that early. I told Russell this morning....I don't know how you do this every day. I only have to work early once in awhile. We don't go to bed until after midnight usually and then I like to sleep in. At work for the first couple of hours I was dragging my butt and could not stop yawning.

I found out some more about the classes I want to take. One of the women at my work took the classes and is quitting there to soon to be a medical transcriptionist. She told me two of the classes that I need I can take online. That is really good news. The third class I can take at the school. And also she told me that Walmart will reimburse me for part of the cost of taking the classes. I thought that was pretty neat.

I bought the ingredients I needed to make chicken and dumplings. Then when I got home from the store I went to gather the rest of the things I needed to cook it and remembered my large pans are with the rest of my stuff in NM! Then I said to myself wait a minute....I'm only cooking for Russell and myself so why do I need to make so much? I'm not cooking for an army anymore! So I used a 4 quart pan and made a smaller amount. It's hard to get used to cooking less food when I used to have to cook so much. I'm going to see if I can get a picture on here tomorrow of the chicken and dumplings.

As we were chatting on the phone tonight while Russell was working he informed me that I'm high maintenance. Well thank you very much mister but I don't think so! I tried to get him to tell me what he meant by it and all he could come up with was that I keep breaking down and he has to fix me. Huh.....what am I? A car? Do I need my oil changed or my tires fixed? Ok so I admit to being an emotional person but after the last post can you see why?

Thanks to my daughter Kayla who sent me a neat website I'm going to learn to do HTML. It's a really neat site called www.funkychickens.com and explains things in a basic way. I think she's been using it since she was 12 or so which was when she taught herself to use HTML and design websites. She used to make some really awesome ones and could do some amazing things!

I appreciate all the comments to my past post. It was a venting post about things that have been on my mind and it felt good to write about it. That's what blogging is for.....for expressing my feelings on anything that is on my mind at that moment. Actually thing things I wrote in that post were just the tip of the iceberg and I didn't want to write anything that I felt was not appropriate. I just tried to stick to the truth.

We are still having cool weather and it rained last night and a bit today. I was finally able to turn off the air conditioner. I hope we can wait awhile before having to turn on the heat.

Well I really don't have anything else to say so I'll say goodnight and I hope y'all have a wonderful rest of the week.
Peace to you

  1. I tried to google caption crackers but couldn't find what I was looking for. Let me see if I can explain them. Sometimes restaurants give them to you when you order a salad. They are long square and buttery tasting. Oh here I found a picture of one, its the one on the left: http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.kfspromos.com/rewards/images/cracker_up.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.kfspromos.com/rewards/crackers.html&h=433&w=395&sz=89&hl=en&start=131&um=1&usg=__lARrXMK0d7XzR2b05si6wD_AIcg=&tbnid=WX-A1SuUaIqbtM:&tbnh=126&tbnw=115&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dcrackers%26start%3D120%26ndsp%3D20%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26rlz%3D1T4DKUS_enUS205US205%26sa%3DN

  9. Mrs Ruiz....hello from another Scorpio! I find that being a Scorpio is rather difficult at times...the the moodiness that comes along with it.
