I've been screwing

in screws! You don't have a dirty mind do ya? I forgot that I never did the kitchen window above the sink. That's more window panes to paint. Uggh. First I had to scrape all the paint of the glass from the last person that painted. Then I started scraping off some loose paint on the bottom sill part and noticed a board was coming off. I got some nails and tried to nail them in but that was useless. They would not go in. So I got out the cordless drill. I had to pound the screws in a bit with a hammer first to get them started but I got the job done. The board is now nice and tight. Then I noticed the top layer of paint was loose so I scraped all that off. Hopefully I didn't hit any lead based paint. If I start acting incoherent or babbling on here let me know. What? You say I babble anyhow so you won't be able to tell? Be nice. I did a ceiling yesterday and some organizing. I got some of those Rubbermaid under shelf thingies that give you extra space. And I got some Rubbermaid type metal shelves that go on a door and I put my spices and other stuff in there.
I like doing this fix-it type stuff. I'm learning to do stuff I never did before and it's kinda fun. I don't even procrastinate either like I usually do when I start a project. I just keep on plugging away. :) I feel like I actually accomplished something on my 3 days off.
I slept till 10:30 this morning! I never sleep that late. I have to admit though that it did feel nice to get some extra sleep.
It's a beautiful day out. I got the front door open to let the fresh air in.
I hope y'all are enjoying your day.
Blessings.

  2. Sounds like you have had a great day!! It is way to cold to open the door here, though I would like to air the house also. Maybe tomorrow.
