Tinkle Before You Walk....

or another name for this post can be....Don't drink a whole pot of coffee before you go out for a walk unless you wear Depends. ;) OK so I'm exaggerating a bit.

The weather is amazing today. It's 66 degrees with only a little breeze and it could not be more perfect for walking. I walked pretty far but I walked at a good pace so it only took me about a half hour. I kept to the quiet streets that don't have much traffic so it was kinda peaceful. Right now I have the front door open....I'm airing out the house and I can hear all the birds. They seem to be building a nest in the overhang over the front porch again. There's a hole in in it and Russell tried to cover it up but it's this weird slate tile things and he tried to nail over it but they just crack. So it looks like we will continue to have bird droppings in front of our door once again and all over our vehicles.

I feel bad for Russell. He got home from working this morning at 3 am so he only had 2 hours sleep before he had to get up and go to work. They have to go in for 2 hours every day to check in and then if there's no work they go home. He came back home after that and got back into bed (I was still in bed) and after 10 minutes his work called and he had to go in. The night before he only had 5 hours sleep but that was not even all at the same time. Before this though he's barely worked in the past two weeks. A lot of the oil rigs are shutting down because of the lower gas prices and they can't afford to stay open. I wonder how this is going to affect our country in the long run? I'm sure this is not just in OK either, it's probably in TX as well and anyplace else that has oil wells. These wells not only produce oil but natural gas too. Maybe this will drive the prices back up but who knows?

Right now I'm going to quit procrastinating and go clean out my van while it is still super nice out. It really needs it, that's for sure. Y'all have a great afternoon. :)

  5. Hi, Barbara: Wasn't too bad today either. Just a little "nippy." At least the sun was out! Poor hubby-feeling like a ping pong ball? Hang in there. Procrastinating is one of my favorite pastimes. Take care. (Do you ever go to the Spirit Fair?) D
