How To Clean Mouse Turds

Well I thought I was going to get a half a day off today since I only had to work till 1 pm. However, it did not turn out that way. First I went with Russell while he went to one of the rentals to fix a water pipe. While he worked on that, I chatted with the lady who lives there since she's always nice and friendly. Then we went to clean another apartment. People do not stay in these rentals for long, that's for sure! And they like to leave the places looking like a pigsty. I don't know how people can live in such filth. I figured out how to clean mouse turds without touching them. Just suck them up with the vacuum! Anyhow with the two of us cleaning it wasn't so bad. I like when Russell and I clean together. :) Not the cleaning part....but the doing it together part.

About a week ago, I rented the Movie -The Secret Life of Bees. It was a wonderful movie and Queen Latifah was very good in it! Here is a description of the movie. This is a great family movie and one that I want to buy.
"The Secret Life of Bees," based on the New York Times best selling novel and set in South Carolina in 1964, is the moving tale of Lily Owens (Fanning) a 14 year-old girl who is haunted by the memory of her late mother (Burton). To escape her lonely life and troubled relationship with her father (Bettany), Lily flees with Rosaleen (Hudson), her caregiver and only friend, to a South Carolina town that holds the secret to her mother's past. Taken in by the intelligent and independent Boatwright sisters (Latifah, Okonedo and Keys), Lily finds solace in their mesmerizing world of beekeeping.

We are going to New Mexico very soon to get all my stuff. I'll be so happy to get everything even though I may not be able to fit everything in this house. I put in for time off from work that matched up with Russell's days off and they approved it. But once again, they screwed up my schedule for that week. Instead of giving me those days for my regular days off, they gave me a total of four days off! That's just something else for me to have to get fixed. But maybe I'll just keep it that way. I can use a couple extra days off to finish up stuff around here. It might be nice.

I hope y'all are enjoying your week so far.

  2. Hey Barb!!! Hope you're having a fantastic St. Patty's Day as well!

Have you read the book _Secret Life of Bees_ yet? I think the movie looks to be pretty good, but invariably, if the movie is good, the book is worlds better. And this book was good to begin with! (Queen Latifa is a fantastic actress, as is Dakota Fanning, I know nothing about the other actors/actresses. So, I DO think the movie looks great, but there are always aspects of a book that cannot be properly illustrated in movie form. I strongly recommend the book.)

Best of luck in getting your schedule fixed properly!
