Nothing much going on....

We woke up to the sound of thunder this morning and it was raining as well. The roof is not leaking, so that's a good thing. They finished it a couple of days ago and it looks good. For the past few days we've been having trouble with wasps trying to build a nest on the front porch. They kept hanging out on this hook thing and we kept trying to swat it down and spray them with stuff but they'd keep coming back. Russell finally sprayed them with some Home Defense bug spray last night and I don't see any out there this morning so hopefully they will go build their nest elsewhere. Those dang bugs sure are stubborn!
Russell got a call at 8 this morning from a tenant about a leaking roof but then he got called into work so off to work he went. He's already worked on this particular roof before and what it needs is a roof replacement. But unfortunately the landlord of those places does as little as possible instead of fixing them up to look nice.
I guess I'll write some more tonight when I'm off work. I'm in the middle of getting ready and not looking forward to doing my *sentence* at the *Big House*. Haha! I hope the day goes fast.
Peace to y'all.

  1. Hope you had as nice a day as one could expect at the "Big House!"

Wasps can be very persistent. I guess they have to be, its rough out there in the wild.

  2. What a relief to have rain huh? We could sure use some...can you send some my way? I had my roof sealed the first part of June & for the first time in 4 years I didn't have that "dread" of the leaks & ceiling falling in! Right on about getting rid of those wasps!
    Take Care Hon!

Glad there don't seem to be any leaks in your roof now. :)

  4. Hurray! No more leaky roof and maybe no more wasps! I hope work has been going well for you lately and doesn't feel so much like prison time. Think silly happy thoughts and just grin and bear it, I guess, eh? :):)
