What do I have to do to get a cup of coffee around here???

OK so we are in bed this morning and get woken up by the sound of the roofers pounding away on day 3. Then Russell gets called into work and I decide to try to get some more sleep. He goes to make coffee and get ready and before he goes asks me if I want a cup. I say yeah I'll get up in a minute. He asked me a couple more times. I'd given up on trying to go back to sleep. So he leaves and I go to pour the coffee. Hmmm......why is he bugging me about coffee and then only leaving me about a quarter of a cup? We use a percolator after going through so many coffee pots but still.....can't he tell there is very little coffee in there? Since I can't just add more water like you can a coffee pot I make a new pot. I pour it out and it's like water. So I go to dump that out and make more and I see that the grounds were all over on one side and the water only dripped through on the side with barely no grounds. So I make another pot. Finally I get my coffee....whoever thought it would be so much trouble?
I woke up with a miserable headache and this time I took some migraine medication (the CVS brand of Excedrin) and it worked. I'm tired of getting migraines. I know it's because of my bad sleep habits because of my schedule at work. Last night I went to bed at 12:00 and after laying there for an hour got back up and finally went to bed a couple hours later.

Back to the roof.....the roofers are right outside the window where my computer is and probably right over my head. They start early here (7 am) because of the heat and they don't work into the late afternoon, they quit early. That's understandable. As it turns out three of the five roofers (3 brothers) are cousins of Russells. His Dad realized that when the three of them were discussing the roof. When Russell was real young they used to go to his Dad's farm (Russell's Dad) in AZ. It's funny how they all ended up here. Relatives are everywhere. When we first got this house in April and I went to buy a new sofa, it turned out the man selling it to me was another cousin of his by marriage.

I'm addicted to Facebook. My friend Lisa and her daughter Renee from MA are on there and some of the people whose blogs I read and now I'm friends on there with the old ROTC gang from high school. It is so much fun talking to those people who I have not had contact with in years. Then I got hooked on playing a couple of games on there as well. The best part is catching up with all those long lost friends from my past and see what's been going on in their lives.

As for the coffee, mabey he decided you weren't getting up to drink any so he drank more himself.
Because percolaters make a LOT of coffee.

  3. Roofers pounding could really give a person a migraine right there! I have crazy sleep patterns and I know what you mean about the migraines and being tired. We need our coffee!! :)

I am on facebook, too! Rita McGregor if you want to snoop. I don't chat a lot, but I check in and on twitter, too! What is the world coming to when I'm on facebook and twitter? My son and DIL can't believe it--hehe! But I have run into people there I don't normally talk to, too. Fun! :)
