Changes At Work & Other Stuff

It really does look like we will be getting some extra help at work. I sure hope so. Only time will tell but I think we have several people who will be starting soon. What great news! With our high stress levels we have been sorta driving each other crazy.

Russell has been working so much that he has not had one spare moment to work on the bathroom he started.  Now it's grass cutting season and that's part of his second job where he does home repairs and cuts the grass. We are just hoping he gets some time off soon so he can do what he needs to do around here. Our front storm door blew open and got all bent with the high winds we had this winter so he had to take it off the hinges. He has not had a chance to fix that yet either.

The weather has been fantastic! It's been warm and sunny and just beautiful. We were supposed to get rain for a few days but it has not started yet. It won't bother me a bit because I love the rain. In fact, I look forward to it.  I just love dark, cloudy days. Does that sound odd? Most people find it depressing but not me.

I don't think I'll be planting a garden this year.  I just don't have the energy to do it and there's too much to do around the house. I think I just may shop at the Farmer's Market here in town which I hear is really good. I think it's always a good thing to support the local growers! :)

Well, I think I'm going to go watch a movie and then go to bed. I hope y'all have a good night.

  1. I hope you do get the help you need at work.

I also hope that Russel gets the time off he needs to finish the work around the house.

I don't mind rainy days, which is good really, since it does actually rain a lot in Wales. Don't get me wrong, I do like sunny days too, and everyone who knows me knows I just LOVE snow! But there's nothing wrong with rain... The planet needs it anyway.

  2. Gosh! That Russell really works hard. No wonder he hasn't had time to fix things at home yet. But it is a good thing he has work--and you, too. They've been promising you guys extra help, so I hope that finally comes to pass. Everybody seems to be cutting corners everywhere they can--and that means less help and more work for everybody else. :( I hope you see some new employees soon!

I don't mind cloudy, dark, rainy days either. Good contemplative days or days to work inside or read...they're quieter days. :) Hope you had a good movie to watch.

  3. Sometimes, watching the gentle sprinkle of rain falling into puddles can be hyponotic and soothing - and the fury of the winds flinging a downpour in the t-storm can be exhilirating. :)
