Crafts, Crafts and More Crafts!!!

For as long as I remember I have been doing crafts. From the time I was really little, 5 or 6 years old, I first taught myself to make handmade doll clothes. That was just the beginning. In Home Economics in school I learned to sew, knit and crochet. Later on I taught myself to do cross-stitch, embroidery, plastic canvas, hooked rugs and jeeze I know there is so much more I can't even remember. When my older girls were little I made them dresses and even stuffed animal type toys. I made tons of doll clothes over the years...Barbie clothes, baby doll clothes, and they were knitted, crocheted or sewn. I later made a whole doll house full of plastic canvas doll furniture. Unless you see this it's hard to picture it but it's really neat. I have made Halloween costumes, curtains, cloth napkins, placemats and for years I went to ceramic classes. So can you tell I love crafts??? I don't do as many as I used to and got quite a few things I need to finish up. I did a page of my crafts that is just a sample of things I have done over the years. It's saved on the right side of my Blog under favorites and here's the link http://celticangel1111.googlepages.com/barbscrafts1 . Right now I'm working on a set of three cross-stiches and it's hard cause the material it's made out of has such small holes so it's time consuming. Then I'm going to work on finishing up some other things I started.

  1. Love the aquarium! I bet that took quite a while to stitch! I did a picture of a kimono when I was in Singapore...took me months with all the combo colors and gold thread. I'm usually soooo done by the time I get to the backstitching. I'll see if I can take a picture of it sometime. It's framed on my studio wall.
