Like Summer, Shopping and A Weird Man
Yesterday turned out to be an awesome day, weather wise. It was 81 degrees in the downtown area of this city . Can you believe it? We've had so many warm days in the 60's and 70's that it makes up for those few really cold days. It's still pretty warm right now but we have a cold front coming in later in the day.

I didn't do much of anything yesterday. :) I did go pick up my check and go to the bank. Then I went to Goody's to look for some new shoes, only to find out they were going out of business. I was really disappointed. There are not many places to shop here and now I'll have to go to another city unless I want to shop at Walmart. I did end up getting two pairs of shoes (New Balance) for only $30 each which was half price. I had only planned on getting one pair but for that price decided to get two. Then I met up with Russell since he didn't have to work and was only on call. We went to Walmart and he bought a new vacuum cleaner (we use the other one to clean houses now) and I bought new sheets and a comforter for our bedroom. I decided to go with black for two reasons. I need to put up black curtains because he often has to sleep during the day. He sometimes comes home after working all night and is too tired to shower so he just washes up and goes to bed. He gets the sheets dirty. Oh yeah and one too many times he has been drinking coffee in the bed in the morning and has spilled it when he fell back asleep.
The landlord wanted me to clean another house yesterday. I had to refuse and said I'd either do it today or Saturday. Then he said the power was going to be off today so we were going to go over there yesterday afternoon and I would just do the vacuuming. When we got there we found out that they were not even done moving out yet and would not be done till tonight. I have short day today so I'll go tonight and do it.
Anyhow when we were at that house seeing if we could vacuum there was this really strange guy there who lives in one of the adjoining apartments. He called Russell Big Daddy and said he (Russell) acted just like a black man. (this guy is black). He was really wacko. He kept talking to me while Russell was talking to the guy that lived there and I couldn't understand half of what he said so I just said...oh? and yeah....stuff like that pretending I understood what he said. Evidently I told him he could could have a ride. So we got ready to go and he expects a ride. Russell was driving my van and we let him in the back. What a nutcase! He mumbled on for what seemed like hours even though we only drove him about 5 minutes away. I couldn't wait for that ride to get over. He won't be giving a ride again, that's for sure.

I hope you are enjoying your day. Peace to y'all.

  1. Weird people are scary:) I just came back from Costco but I didnt ened up getting my haircut:( That monster came again last night. I know now that it has wings, I woke up after struggling to wake up at 4 am I immediately called Justin, i was scared

  2. My Mama used to love that store called Goody's, but we didnt have one here so we would drive to NC where they had them.

  3. That's why you shouldn't say "yes" or "OK" unless you have actually heared the comment. Perhaps I should make Kelly come and read this post so that he can see what can happen if you say "yes" or "OK" when you don't know what you're saying it to (I know you didn't say that you said "OK" but that's his favourite response... Then when I ask him afterwards why he hasn't done whatever he said "OK" to doing, I find out he didn't hear me but said "OK" hoping I'd leave him to get on with what he was doing). *Shaking head* If you can't hear what people are saying, either ask them what they said, or don't say anything. ;)

Glad you're getting some decent weather. :)

I sent you the interview questions... Hope you got them OK! If you didn't, let me know and I'll resend them.

Fortunately, I'm pleasantly and harmlessly weird :)

I'm glad you had some nice weather. It's been a bit warmer in Baltimore for the past two days, but hardly 81 degrees. I'm jealous!
