Update For The Week

Well first of all I'd like to say....what happened to spring? It was 86 degrees here yesterday and today the high was 81. I hope it's not too late to plant some tomato plants in containers.

Tuesday I worked and what a day! For some reason the customers were downright nasty. Not all of them but many were. I had this one woman come to my which is 10 items or less and the woman in front of her did not happened to notice the 10 item limit. So she said to her....I think it's very rude of you to come here with all those items when it's supposed to only be 10. The woman with too many items (we will call her the nice woman) apologized to the mean woman and said she did not see the sign. Then I told the mean woman that as a cashier we have to take whoever comes into our line regardless of how many items they have. After all it's the only line where one can buy cigarettes and not everyone buying them only has 10 items. So....then I ran into a problem ringing up nice woman's steak cause the label was messed up. It took quite awhile to get it straightened out and mean woman got fed up and went up to the CSM and told her that I was rude and hateful to her! hahahaha! She had a raging, lunatic look on her face. Do you think it was rude of me to tell her the WalMart rules? It did not matter, the customers took my side and the CSM's all know how nice I am to the customers.
To make up for this nutcase, later on in the evening two of my favorite customers came into the store. A mom and her teen daughter come in almost every night and they are the types who brighten the day of everyone they meet. They are just so pleasant and friendly, you just can't help but love them. Then, my last customer for the night was this woman with three daughters. At first I found her kind of tough in the way she acted but then I got talking to her little daughter in the front of the cart. I figured she was about 3. But she talked like a much older child and the Mom said she was 6. Then she proceeded to tell me about her daughter and told me how she survived cancer, twice. This little girl had the personality to light up a whole room! The Mom did not treat her like a fragile child, she treated her just like her other daughters. I saw that this mom had to be *tough* just to survive. And she's doing it and her daughter is fine now. God/dess bless them all. I'm so lucky to meet some of the people that I meet. :)
Wednesday morning I woke up with the worst headache ever. I was sick all that day...really, really sick and I told Russell just to shoot me and put me out of my misery. As you can see, I'm still here. :)I was sick all that night and most of the next day I could barely get off the sofa. I think I had a bad migraine but Russell said I had Kung Fu virus. What the h*ll is that??? I asked him....do you see me going around karate chopping the coffee table?? He thought I was contagious and since he has germaphobia he slept on the sofa the first night I was sick. So....that was my two days off. Fun huh? Then I had to get up this morning and go into work at 7 am and that was very difficult and the first part of the morning I felt like a zombie. I finally feel better now.
I'm cooking fried chicken, rice pilaf and green beans for dinner tonight. I don't get to cook much because usually we are too busy. Tomorrow I'm going to go grocery shopping, back to Aldi again to do some more stocking up.
Well that's it for now unless I think of something else to write about. I'm going to visit some blogs now.
