That is what the Easter lily represents to me. To me that is what Easter is about....not the Easter bunny, loads of candy, and materialism. I hope y'all find Peace on this beautiful Easter day. :)
I celebrated Easter by going out and walking in the sunshine and looking at all the flowering forsythia bushes, daffadils, tulips, cherry trees and some spectacular pear trees.
All of Spring is about that... Renewed life, and the reawakening of nature and all the creatures who slumber throughout the Winter.
Don't get me wrong, I do love the chocolate eggs and chocolate bunnies, etc. But I also think about the reasons behind us eating them... New life and the fertility of Mother Earth.
