Guess what we did the past two days?

We drove to NM to get the rest of my stuff. It was 8 hours each way. I drove all the way there and Russell must have thought I was a chauffer or something cause he lounged in the back napping at least half the time. I didn't get to nap in the back when he drove because it was full of stuff. We stopped in a hotel on the way back in Vega Texas. We were just too tired to do any more driving. My daughter's little girl Mercedes wanted to come back with us. Russell asked her if she wanted to come with us and she said yes and told her to go say bye to her Mommy and give her a kiss and she did and then she went and jumped in my van. It was too cute. She probably would have came with us and after about 10 minutes would have screamed for her Mommy.

My van is packed super heavy (we took out the seats) because it was extremely windy on the way there and back and this way the uhaul which was lighter did not sway from side to side.
The following are some pictures Russell took out of the window of various scenery from NM.

Thanks everyone for all the Congrats on the new house! No Intense guy it was not April Fools Joke. ;) I actually thought about it when I was posting and wondered if anyone would think that.
Blessings to all.

  1. At least now you have your own house you can collect up all your stuff, sort it out, and settle in properly. :)

That was too cute about the little one. Was she very upset when she found out she wasn't going to get to come after all?

  3. By the way, thanks for the pictures of New Mexico. They are "scenic" in the traditional sense and its even more arid than I remember - but there is still something beautiful in the sagebrush and joshua trees and emptiness.
